Author: None (None)
We will soon begin plans on updating and improving the look of the Uniface Community site and some of its functionality and would like to ask you, our valued community members for any useful suggestions and/or feedback to how you would like to see the Uniface Community site in the future? (multiple answers are possible).
The plans/ideas for the update include:
- Blogs: Area for all members to write opinion pieces about Uniface and IT market trends related to Uniface.
- Partner Area: Partner pages where partners can present their solutions build with Uniface to other members by showing live pages, white papers, search for Uniface developers and other partners etc.
- Live Showcases: Presenting area for live demos and samples build by community members
- Challenges: Area for Uniface competitions where developers can compete for efficient and creative Uniface solutions.
If you have other ideas please use this forum topic to discuss them.
There is a poll which asks your opinion on the and other options. The poll is open until March 9th.
Kind regards,
The Uniface Team

Any idea why I can't vote in this poll? It's showing in the voted section, but I'm sure I haven't voted.

Same happened to me (sure I have not voted either). Miracle, miracle ...
But based on the experiences with the latest changes on uniface.info which have not been found helpful by a number of "power members",
I wonder what this cosmetics will cause in decreasing usability.

Sorry guys the poll contained test data. This has been reset so the official voting can start now.

Because other userids were able to vote:
does that mean someone has you have run tests with my userid?
What else may be done under my name without my knowledge

Hi Uli,
the test data was from a poll closed in 2009 so the voting test data was 3 years old and probably you were one of the voters at that time. No one except yourself can vote for the poll under your userid.

This is exactly why we are asking for input. Some positive suggestions and ideas would be gratefully received.

Hi Adrian,
its good to see you participate in the discussion.
.....if you only look for positive ideas, you will miss the important part of the feedback.
Think it would be a good start looking at wish 66 and give the users a clear statement what they can expect

Hi
Maybe one good idea would be to differenciate content from comments just like in the forums.
We have a way to know what's new from the front page, well, we'll have when those tabs will be away. But for each content, where we can put comments (articles, wishes, polls, etc..) we've to check wheather something has been posted. One solution to this would be to subscribe to content comments.
Other direction : is there a feed access somewhere ? This could be a good alternative to the front page.
Kind regards,
Richard
