Multiligne and Word

Author: bignonj@gmail.com (Bignon)

Hi,

I've got a multiligne EditBox widget  in my Uniface application ( v7206) :

toto

tata

titi

With the widget's data, I must update to a Word document (DOCVARIABLE). So I've got :

toto

tata

titi

in my Word Document,  at the good place. That's ok to display.

But If I store this Word document in my hard disk, I lost the carriage returns. I've got :

toto tata titi.

\par is anywhere ???

Thanks for your helps,

  1. Hi Jérôme,

if you allow multi-selects, the "value" of the widget is an indexed list., separated by "ESCape".

If you want to transfer these data in another syntax,
just traverse the list and connect them by another character like NewLine: "%%^"

    Success, Uli

  2. Hi, I am a newbie here. And I have no multiligne EditBox widget in my Uniface application. Before I become a member here. I used to process Word document with the help of the free trial package of another Word processing SDK. It is just one of many but I do appreciate it because it is totally manual. Even though I only tried its free trial package to convert images and didn′t check the cost and licensing conditions, it worked great for me. I even tried to customize the project according to its programming tutorials, but my spare time was so limited. You can also google some fine 3rd party tool to have a try. I hope you success. Good luck. Best regards, Arron
