Code snippets

Author: bwe@formido.nl (Bas)

Will it be possible to create your own code snippets and if so, I would like to be able to define placeholders for code that needs to be edited when used. eg.

retrieve/e <<ENT_NAME>>

Where the user will be prompted for the entity name when inserting this snippet in the codewindow.

Hi Bas The name of your entity may be placed in a variable or field. In your case the user can put the name of intity in a field of a form Example :  ; Field of a form entity_name.dummy  ; Client input entity_name.dummy = "entityName" ; Action retrieve that can be launched by a button retrieve/e  entity_name.dummy

Hello Bas, Thanks for your input, we value the fact that you put effort in providing feedback. Great minds think alikeWink Your suggestions have been discussed earlier during internal reviews and we agree that this is a very useful feature. We could even take it further and provide a way of 'binding to' or substituting modeled definitions not only for snippets but for any type of object that acts as a template. We have no plans to put  this feature in the first version though, we aim to add this later.
