U10: how to make a component modal-attached, nonmodal-attched, nonmodal-detached
Author: ulrichmerkel@web.de (ulrich-merkel)
I found how to make a component modal/nonmodal but editing the very long list in "Window Properties" is a rather uncomfortable job: especially because autoselect is set to ON (Tip: <GOLD><GOLD>Z may help a little bit securing the old code). one can not maximise the Properties Inspector Area (so you have to rely on the tooltip to "read" the contents. But where is the property where I can set attached/detached? Tried to get the answer from the helpfile, but it looks like I have not found the right page.

Hi Uli, If you put your mouse pointer over the field without clicking on it a button with ... will become visible. If you click on this button a helper screen will be started.

Hi Mike, thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, the version I have (build 0908/0911) shows only the tooltip I described, but not the button you mentioned. Only AFTER I entered a <GOLD>Z opening a modal zoom window, the now unreachable input field shows a button instead of the values. Perhaps you have another version or setting than the distributed one?

Very strange, do you get any of the popups?

Small movie that shows it, using the same version as Uli reported: Component Windows Properties

Hi Henk, thanks for the visualisation. In fact it looks like that I have just overlooked that tiny change because it is not a "real button" but just a little text at the rightmost side. The button I was looking for was something like the one shown in the input field AFTER I entered a <GOLD>Z opening a modal zoom window.
