! MS Update KB3168965 and Uniface Anywhere compatibility July 2016

Windows Update KB3168965 which Microsoft released on July 12, 2016, is incompatible with the following operating systems: Windows 8.1 Windows Server 2012 R2 With this Windows updates installed, the Uniface Anywhere Application Publishing Service fails to start. Uniface is working on a fix for this incompatibility. In the meantime, KB3168965 should not be installed on Uniface Anywhere hosts on the mentioned platforms. If it is installed, you can work around the incompatibility by uninstalling KB3168965. The Uniface Anywhere support team.

    A fix for this incompatibility is available for download from the following location: https://download.uniface.com/downloads/UnifaceAnywhere/v4/KB3168965/for Uniface Anywhere Version 4.8.2 https://download.uniface.com/downloads/UnifaceAnywhere/v5/KB3168965/for Uniface Anywhere Version 5.0.0
      For 64-bit UA v4.8.2.22382 Host environments download and install V4x64UAHost-KB3168965-C05.exe The problem does not occur in 32 bit environments. For 64-bit UA v5.0.0.22406 Host environments download and install V5x64UAHost-KB3168965-C02.exe For installation instructions, supported host platforms and for which Uniface Anywhere version builds these patches are applicable, see the corresponding readme files (V4x64UAHost-KB3168965-C05.txt and V5x64UAHost-KB3168965-C02.txt) available in the appropriate download directory. Please note that you must have a user account to access Uniface Anywhere downloads on the Uniface Downloads site. To receive an account, you will have to register first.
